Atsuta Shrine

Today I decided to take a trip to Atsuta shrine by bike, about 16 kilometers. There’s been too many times that I’ve passed the opportunity to see this shrine and today I thought it would be good weather and nice exercise.
Atsuta shrine (熱田神宮, Atsuta Jingū) is one of the 3 most important Shinto shrines in [...]

Higashiyama Zoo

Lee, Chris and I decided to make a trip by bycicle out to the Higashiyama Zoo, Botanical Gardens and Sky Tower (all on the same attraction), about 6 kilometers away. The ride to wasn’t so nice, being all uphill, but it was the next ~8 hours of treking around that was going to be the [...]

Birthday

You’re enjoying yourself for hours on end: the atmosphere, the food, drinks, people. Come eleven o’clock and you’re finishing up the third bottle of [...]

There’s Something in the Water

There’s a lot of people around here who are all having problems with losing their hair. In the shower, hanging around in the room; we all have been noticing a lot of hair loss everywhere. Nobody seems to have any ideas other than the water we’re using to bathe and drink…
Now I have a valid [...]

Andre’s Six Days of Biking

With the exception of this past Sunday, I’ve been biking every day miles and miles for pleasure and exercise. I’ve been to neighboring cities and towns and a few times I’ve even ridden as far out to neighboring prefectures ― it was the ride back in those times that was really tough.
With all my riding, [...]
